nice computer man. although the price is a bit steep. i think you couldve have built your own desktop for gaming and bought a portable notebook for school for 3500. Either way that computer is really sweet and i hope you like it.
. post some pictures

It's way too much for a system which is being outdated IMO.
I would've gone w/ alienware w/ 7950GTX SLI.
Return it if you can, get something else.
It is however very good laptop w/ single GPU. -
FAFSA(collegemoney) So its all good financially. I've noticed the M1730, a newer version of the M1710. Just hoping I didn't make a bad move not getting the 1730?
ps, Its in build stage at dell still...will post pics when I get it(hopefullysoon!) -
Well...I havent gotton it yet? I really want a laptop...think itd be a really big difference and worth the hassle to get a different computer?

I spec'd up a 1710 when i ordered my 1730.
The 1730 offered better value, but the 1710 does look alot thinner and smarter. Im sure it has a much longer battery life too. The 1730 really isnt portable unless your near a power outlet. -
CORRECTION: Product Total: $3,327.43

Does anyone know how I go about getting a dell gift card or even if i qualify for one or anything else for that matter? Please let me know.
Thanks a lot! -
The m1710 is definitely thinner and looks pretty sleek as RobHague mentioned. I had one for a brief period of time - it was actually really good. Wouldn't mind having that now too.
