    Dell XPS M1730 DVD+/- 8X model/brand

    Am trying to figure which driver to use on my Dell M1730. The acknowldgment sheet states: 1 TK134 Module DVD +/-rw, 8X ide, M1730,SNO. Can someone please decipher this for me?

    Windows should install the Driver for your DVD automatically. You dont need to install a driver.

    correct. the one i got with mine was a phillips..but doesnt matter the brand they should all automatically install

    Firmware updates are a different matter of course - since they're drive specific ;)
