    Hi All,

Ive had a Dell XPS M1730 for a few years now which was dropped not long after I got it and the keyboard stopped working. I took the keyboard off and reseated it. This fixed the problem.

Yesterday, the keyboard stopped working once again and I today took the keyboard out in an attempt to reseat it. Except this time the black clip which secures the keyboard ribbon onto the main board has snapped in half.

Where can I get a replacement?

I don't think you can buy this part on its own. You'd have to buy another motherboard (or some sort of board) with the same connector and rip it off of that.

EDIT: Conceivably you can buy the entire connector from somewhere and rip it off of that, but I'd be just as lost as you are in trying to identify and search for said connector.

Yeah, you are probably SoL. You can try putting the clip back as it is and seeing if it'll still hold the cable down.
