    hi there, i just purchased an old dell m170 from ebay. i asked for the service tag (8819S91) and it showed me this for the video card:

    1 NF524 Module,Card,Graphic,256MB G70,M170

    can anybody confirm what kind of video card that is? is it the 6800 or the 7800?

    if anybody can clarify, im clueless about it.

    Thats Go 7800.
    It is a horrible card, overheats excessively.
    You should consider upgrading to Go 7900 GS (rev0 preferably).

    i thought for the m170 model they only offered the 6800 or the 7800 gtx. am i correct?

    Ah you are right, i got it confused with 9400/m1710.
    It should be 7800 gtx than, thats a good card.
