I would like to know, because I want to remove a scratch.

Well it doesnt really look like a scratch, its greyish. I guesss the battery rubbed against the very lower party of the dell XPS 1645.

I mean you only notice when removing the battery.

But Id like to prevent further scratching and will try to call dell to get some display rubber to stop the screen from touching the chassis, battery.

But Id like to know, is it glass or plastic this glossy screen, cause I was thinking of getting Displex from Amazon

The screen is flexible, so it's not glass.

I mean that when you push in on the screen it flexes. So it's not glass. I'm not sure what specific type of plexiglass or plastic it is.

oh ok, cheers, so no one here has had that issue that the battery is rubbing the screen a little causing scratches.

only noticable if u remove the batter and check the screen that way... ?

not noticable when working with the screen as the scratch is located below the dell symbol?

It's the same on the AWs and MBPs. I tried to flex them and all of them could be flexed significantly. I'm assuming it's like polycarbonate or lexicon or something like that.

I have that too. The LCD cover is definitely some kind of cheap plastic. I'm not a fan of edge-to-edge. Or atleast, not a fan of Dell's implementation. Not to mention how glossy it makes the screen look, a huge negative IMO.
