Basically, turned off my computer yesterday, and I turned it back on today, and it opens the dell loading screen, then the vista loading screen, then the screen goes blank, but the light is on but nothing appears on screen,

I also can hear the vista opening music from when the sign in page opens........

also when I boot in safe mode it works perfectly with no problems ??

any suggestion ? thanks guys

    Try reinstalling video drivers.

How long have you had your laptop? Is it a M1330?

I would recommend reinstalling the video drivers; they could possiblly have been corrupted. Boot into safe mode and uninstall the NVIDIA video driver through the Control Panel. See if that helps.

how did you re-install the drivers? just install over the old one? or did you uninstall first, then reboot, then re-install? I suggest uninstalling first then reinstalling.. it might be stuck in some non-displayable mode.. so even after reinstallation, its still in that weird mode
