    hi,

i'm thinking of buying an XPS machine, but at the moment the prices are too high, i've just been on the outlet store and seen a XPSM1730 i think, for £859.

it's got 2.4ghz dual core processor,
    4gb ram
256 nvidia G8700 (i believe this is dual).

but it seems too good to be true, i know they are refurbished laptops but i was wondering if anyone had bought from Dell Outlet before?

Hi! There are many peep's here that have bought from the Outlet...If you found a great deal like that..you should order it, as it will only stay in your cart for 15 minutes ;)

The shipping is fairly quick from items purchased at the Outlet!
I have a friend who buys his computers from the Outlet..and has always received ones in great shape ;) :)

Here is a good thread you should review..it will answer your question very well!

    Dell outlet???

    Hope that helps!

Dell outlet UK list prices without VAT and delivery which is why that looks and is too good to be true.

    At the moment its free delivery so £859 x 1.175 = £1009

A lovely tax that those of us in Europe get screwed with.
Its varies from country to country but usually around 17 - 21% of the total cost.

Think of it as value added tax - value added to the EU -

    I couldn't imagine paying 17% sales tax, that's insane.

Try 21% coupled with the already overpriced cost of the machine. NB this is just for the poor selection that we have selling locally.

To import we get slapped with not only the cost of the machine, then the tax applied in that country, the import duties and charges as well as the cost of sending it.
And thats out of the money we've already paid roughly 50% tax on at source.

So its like were fish being shot in a barrel!

Laptop in my signature was from the outlet and it's flawless. I'd do business with them again.

Yep Guitar, you got a nice machine there, not to mention probably one of the best ones out there, with the balance of awsome portability, and snappy performance :D

(Hey more performance than this, and youre gonna have to go with those contruction bricks called "gaming laptops" at alienware :)

I'm guessing that if you buy a new system, Dell ships it out via DHL (as in the case of my M1530.) And if you buy from the Outlet store, it gets shipped out via Fedex (like my XPS One).
