    Dell price increase on 9 cell to $180 on 16?

    Does anyone know why? I was just 1 day from placing my order. I found a few BUY IT NOW batteries on eBay for under $100. Is that the way to go now? Dell, why the increase though?

    a) Dell balances its inventory and prices... battery shortage, it'll raise the prices on its individual products to satisfy full laptop orders

    b) eBay batteries: FYI, batteries start losing it's capacity once it's made... one reason why the inventory by Dell of its batteries is kept low to maintain 'freshness'

    ebay batteries may be old stock, used, fake, ...

    up to you whether you want the ebay route and save 50%, or dell route...

    wow man, this sucks badly, i was close to order too..
    i think in this case i won't order the 9 cell battery from dell, i'd rather order it somewhere else. especially interesting it used to be $80, now $180. pff..
