I purchased a refurbished dell several years ago and was very happy. It arrived clean looking like a new computer. I just received an xps 1330 that looked as though someone wiped a washrag over the screen after it had been used for 6months. Dirty and not close to being what it should be. A plastic panel stuck out of the bottom over a quarter inch that obviously was never "refurbished" . Now I am sitting waiting after contacting Dell 3 times trying to get an RMA to send it back. Wait times of 30 minutes so far. Buyer beware of the dell refurbs until they get this system fixed.

Don't get so emo, dude. ;) First off most of those on this forum who have purchased a Dell refurb have had good luck with there's. Your's is probably in the minority.

Dell will fix the problem. They will either refund your money or send you a replacement. :p

Yuck, I wouldn't want to receive a computer in this condition either. I apologize for the condition of the laptop, if you would like assistance with the return, please let me know.

    Regards,

I have bought some desktops and laptops off the Outlet, and all came in great condition.

The one I am on now is going back once my replacment gets here, but i'll even clean this one myself before it goes back...I wouldn't want to get one that looked used, and I don't trust Dell to take the 5 minutes to clean it off.

    Good luck.

What goes around comes around. Shame to the one who had your notebook before they returned it to dell.

Ehh...it is Dell's responsibility to clean them up.

Yeah, its Dells responsibility to properly screw on the RAM and processor cover of my M1530. If they can't do that, why expect them to clean up a returned/refurb notebook?

Not saying that all of them are bad, as my replacement was perfect, but there are always the select few Dell employees that are just reckless.

All of my refurb machines have been fine, but Dell should not have let this slip through.
