Hope i can find someone who can help me out here!

I recently purchased the above model laptop from a local free ad newspaper, all was fine for the first few weeks, it came boxed with all the manuals & discs, but one day when it was turned on it asked for a HDD password.

Ive done some research so now know what it is but still not got it removed.

    What ive done so far...

Removed the battery & CMOS battery overnight.. No joy (I take it theres only 1 CMOS battery???)

Ive tried a website that offers the correct master password etc but again no good so was refunded.

The error code if you enter the wrong password 3 times is: 13373.

Ive been told that i can simply replace the hard drive BUT ive also been told theres something else inside that TELLS the hard drive to lock so would simply lock the new one!!??

Im not very clued up around all this so any info would be great.

    Thanks.

It is against forum rules to discuss cracking passwords.
