    Hi,

I ordered my xps 1530 a while ago and it is supposed to be shipped this coming Monday (today is Wednesday). I called to know the order status and it says it is still in the built stage and no delay is expected.

I am wondering, how long are they supposed to test the system? I am just concern they would rush it and not test it well.

    Any idea?

dont worry carbbean, dell knows what they are doing, a system usually ships within 10 days of your order, and you usually have it at your door 12 to 15 days after you place the order, should there be any problem with your new xps, you can return it within the 21 day period that starts when you receive it, and dell will send in a brand new one :D

i doubt it will have any problems though, so dont worry! be happy! your gonna get your cool m1530 soon!

Here see this thread, I always recommend it to new Dell notebook owners:
    Dell Laptop Order Stages Wiki

Dell usually over projects the ESD...if there are no part delays, back orders..you could very well get it sooner than the ESD :D

Hey! The 21 day return period actually starts the date you are *invoiced* (when its about to ship), not when you receive it. This is important to remember. Alot of peep's think it's when they receive it, and it's not. :( Just a FYI, that's all.
