I have about 125 days left on my warranty which I bought 2 years worth of warranty (it has next business day tech support, complete care, accidental damage). My original system is a studio XPS 1640...It had overheating and throttling problems so I got it replaced with a 1645. I now understand how important warranty is so I want to extend my warranty for possibly 3/4 more years. I went ahead and gave dell a call and this is the quote I got:
-From tech support: $379 for 1 year including everything and 449 if I want to add complete care + accidental damage and 7 hundred something for 3 years...(I got blown off after hearing this)
-From EPP Customer service: $350 for 1 year. But then I keep on bragging about how low it was (350 to including completecare+acc damage for 3additional years) and the rep gave me the second price of 300 for 2 years (not including completecare+acc damage). She then told me that the price will be $150 more if I wish to include complete care + acc damage.
I got pissed off and felt very stupid for not purchasing the warranty upfront for 3/4 years. Does anybody know how to get the price down beside haggling with EPP rep? Any help is greatly appreciated.
