Well, i like this xps 16, but what's the matter with this warranty.
Ok first i got this machine i said "wow good laptop, and even its warranty is better".
After 2 months later purchasing this laptop, i had display issue, they came replaced it "GREAT". After 3 months i had another display issue and they replaced again "GREAT?!", after 3 months i had annother display issue and they replaced the motherboard this time, display problem has gone, but i have another motherboard problem now, and they'll replace it again.

Ok they come to your house and they replace the parts thats good but whats the point if it s not working properly after replacement? I asked about this and Dell technician said to me "they re probably sending refurbished hardware.." ok but when you replace my computer with those hardware it always got issues. So whats the point, do i have to call my Dell fellas once in a month?! And my warranty is gonna finish 3 months later then what am i gonna do? the parts i have are not durable as i can see. dunno i m really confused.. Wha do you think guys?

Well If they have to come to your house 3 times to repair the same part over and over again you can compain to dell and have them send you a brand new system! That's how my bro went from a t6400 in his dell studio 14z to a brand new i3 in a studio 14

No luck so far, i want to see everyone this in here also, more specificly.
So i m copying my community post here. I think costumers should know about my Dell experience..:

Well, i always told/wrote good things about this computer, but i m about to give up...

In three months RGB Led replaced (flicking..), about 3 months later replaced again (vertical purple line), about two months later motherboard replaced(screen totally gone, and they decided to change motherboard this time..), now screen is ok, but i cant use external monitor, because when laptop gets hot, screen vibrates like crazy(not laptop screen just external...and i have to use it because i m an animatior, compositor i need bigger screen mostly..)and also i have extrordinary heat problems(after the motherboard replacement), now i m waiting for another motherboard and somehow it s pending for a week.

Although i m not even talking about problems like screen flickering(it s still there), 2 dead pixels and huge light bleeding on my 3th screen. Because after all those problems, these are not interrupting my usage at all, and i m ok with them, i just want a simply working computer without serious problems.

By the way, i bought this form US, but i recently dwell in Turkey, and all of these happened in here.

I used an Acer before XPS 16, it was an average laptop, but never failed me for 2 years. But this XPS 16, many problems in 8 months.

I tought about extending my warranty, but then i ve changed my mind, because maybe my next motherboard is gonna be damaged in 2 months.. So what's the point? Those hardwares are not durable. Am i gonna call Dell per 2-3 months?..

My colleague and friend Onur Senturk bought a Macbook Pro, while he is using it without problems, a few days ago he told me that Apple asked him that "if he s using their editing software?". And after saying "no" they've send him Final Cut for free to try this time. Meanwhile i m dealing with these problems...

I bought this computer for proffesional usage, i didn't choose this because it's cheaper (and it's not cheap with these specifiactions, nearly same). I choose Dell XPS 16 for its quality.

Now i ask: I made the wrong choice??

Know how you feel, because I had a laptop with many problems, and got it replaced, and still it had problems. Eventually (after nearly 1 year) I got a refund.

At this point, you may request for Dell to give you a brand new laptop rather than continue having problems with your old one. Keep all the statements and proof of failed repairs (this is useful). I had Dell replace my PC parts (graphics card, battery) before, with brand new parts, but I understand they can give you refurbs as long as it is equal in specs and performance.

If Dell refuses (because they can), ask for a refund - with proof that your laptop fails continuously.

Most likely they will give you a brand new laptop.

Not sure about the Apple thing, giving your friend software. You said it was to try, so maybe it was just trial software.

Thanks for the reply. The software is not trial, just gesture for marketing purposes i guess. But it's good for a customer.

Anyway, what kind of a proof that you've mantioned? Some kind of documentary? Because they just replace my parts and leave, i have not a physical proof.

Oh, I see. Yes, I remember now, the Dell tech does not always give you anything as proof that they have carried out repairs.

In any case, contact Dell management and see what they have to say.
