    Dell xps 1340 wont come out of hibernation

    The keyboard will illuminate, but I have to turn off the computer, and turn it on again, very frustrating, running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Any ideas??

    This is basicly making windows 7 unusable for me.

    Any ideas? anybody with a 1340 that sleep works with? or do they all fail????

    The culprit is usually drivers failing to wake up.

    Does sleep work on anybodies 1340?? I installed linux, suspend doesnt work for that either, this is really killing me, im about to put this computer on ebay.

    Does this computer also not come out of sleep mode? why would they release something that doesnt work?

    I just tested My 1340, It comes out of Hibernation no problem, had several items on desktop and a couple web pages loaded.

    What is your set up? where did you get your drivers???

    I would make sure you are using all the latest BIOS and drivers from the DELL website. Then try hibernation again.
