Have you tried copying to a different USB stick/HDD?

    so you're saying:

    1) You've tested with other USB stick devices and it gives you same problems.
    2) You've tested it on another XPS 14z and it gives you same error.
    3) You've tested with another USB HDD and it doesn't give you any problems?

What I/O error usually means is that whatever you're using to plug it into your laptop, it's starting to fail, meaning read/write errors. Have you tried these devices that have failed on your 14z on another desktop/laptop besides another 14z?

Are you using the USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 slot? I would say update the chipset drivers.

Agreed, this doesn't sound like a USB 3.0 problem, but a driver/chipset problem.

USB 3.0 runs off a 3rd party chip, NEC or Renesas, could be a driver issue with those, whereas USB 2.0 is off the Intel chipset.

USB 2.0 got the problem ( 3rd party is texas intruments). All driver will be update.
If install only window and do not install any drivers then the USB work normal

Did you download the drivers from Intel's website or Dell's? Sometimes Dell's drivers are severly out of date.
