Hello every-one! I have some problem ... I buy dell xps 1530 yeasterday. I bought it with 4gb ram ( 2x 2GB). And my problem is ( i don't know it is problem or not ) when I check memory it was only 3582 MB ram ... ? It's correct ?

Yes, it's right.
There's 4 gig (4096 Meg) Ram installed in your system, however, Vista 32bit can only address a maximum of 4gig - this includes your graphics card etc.
You'll still benefit from dual channel though.
If you want, you could upgrade to a 64bit Vista, which would allow you to use it all. -
Depending on computer, the M1530 actually only recognizes 3.5GB. You should still get 4 gig installed just because you will have dual channel.
Sure you could get 3GB, but your missing out on 3.5 and you don't get true dual channel boost. -
i get 2.5gb and so does everyone with 32bit vista.
8gb ram in vista 32bit= only about 3.5 recognised -
There is no need for 8GB in a laptop these days, and no motherboards can support it. Here's what you get.
If you have 4GB of memory in your laptop, you have 4096MB of RAM.
4096MB of RAM - Video Card RAM = System Memory.
Dell xps 1530 4GB memory = 2382 MB ??
