    Hi all,

Well, first post here ... here goes!

Now I know the question of stereo-mix has been addressed elsewhere here, but I was wondering if there is a workaround for this that still works with the
    Audigy Advanced HD Audio panel.

I'm running Vista home Premium with the Audigy Advanced HD (which, after 2+ hours on the phone with various people at Dell, I learned, is a softsynth, and not the actual soundcard, as infered from the order form).

I installed the R171789 Sigmatell driver in XP compatability mode, and managed to get the StereoMix working -- only to find that the Audigy panel now finds 'no supported device'.

So, I tried the other workaround posted her -- I attempted to install the newer vista drivers for the Studio 1536. This removes the stereo-mix option again (though I thought this driver had it!), AND it is still 'unsupported' in the Audigy panel.

I had figured out how to get sound-font support and ASIO from the audigy, despite it not being a 'real' audigy, -- but I can't seem to figure out how to get the stereo-mix working with the sigmatel card AND get that recognised by the audigy!

NB: I also attempted to install the creative Audigy MB (softsynth?) drivers that are meant to go with the R171789 Sigmatel driver that had the working stereo-mix -- no dice. Tried Xp compatability and regular vista 32 mode, and it 'couldn't find the device' and didn't install.

Anyone figure out a solution for this?

    Thanks!

    Cheers
