I was just on the website fooling around building computers when it looked like if you wanted a 17in laptop with an actual dedicated videocard you needed to buy the monster XPS1730 brick. I'm not too keen on doing that, anyway to get, say a 9600 (or 8600 if they're still on that series) into one of their 17 inch computers besides the XPS1730

Well the studio 17 comes with an ati mobility radeon 3650 256mb dedicated card, Its not the worst card you could get in a laptop -

It beats the 8600m gt 256mb by a little bit, plus its got the montevina chipset.

It all depends on what you want to spend really.

All i see is the integrated X3100, am I missing something?

Edit: I mean I see the option for it under features and specs but when I go to build one there isn't the option. Never been this confused by Dell before.

Oh ok, thanks, and yes, it turns out to be a very very good deal for the price even considering the minimal conversion of euros to dollars. I might just get a new one come summer because I'll be on the other side of the country and don't feel like mailing this.
