will i received my M1530 last Friday and the screen was grainy + the HDD not workingso they told me they will send a new laptop to me, they sent the new laptop with a lot of downgrades and that pissed me off big time cuz i told the tech support that don't forget to send the laptop with the same specifications + i paid for a laptop that was maxed out and i got a basic laptop
now i will send them the two laptops and i hope they will send me a new laptop maxed out + some kind of discounts or coupon or i will get my money + i'll give Dell my beautiful middle finger![]()

Thats unfortunate. That is a pretty short story. The LED backlit display has had no issues, the full HD does have graininess from time to time by chance.
That is a really horrible mistake to make. I remember my first M1530 was so horrible and carelessly made that right out of the box the RAM cover wasn't screwed shut and I could see the insides since the Dell QA guy or whatever didn't pay attention enough to even properly screw the cover on....
Though a replacement did fix things up. You really deserve some kind of compensation if they mess up again. Maybe they will give you a gift card hopefully. -
Do this, dont talk to technical support about this, call customer care 1-800-456-3355. tell them that you want a system exchange, tell them that you dont want the exchange that you got, tell them that you want the same one. They will sort it out for you.
-
Customer Care is the one that handles the exchanges and returns. What happened first time I requested to replacement. I was at Customer Care, they transferred me to Tech Support, then XPS Tech Support, then back to Customer Care, who was about to transfer me back to Tech Support but I then told them that I knew they were the ones who did it since I was literally sent in a circle. The woman then apologized and took care of it for me.

paper_wastage Beat this 7x7x7 Cube
or you could return it and try ur luck again.... since after 21 days (ur return period), dell usually sends refurb
remember to demand a NEW system, not a refurb -
To confirm whether the replacement you get is a refurb or not, check outside the box for any colored sticker. If there is a circle sticker that has a color on it.... then you most likely have a refurb.
-
i called Customer Care and they told me i should call tech support cuz they who handles the exchanges and returns
its getting worse and worse
i didn't get to play with it -
You get to hold onto your laptop while they send you the new one, so you will be able to use them both side by side.
Your lucky Tech Support was able to take care of it for you. Tech Support forwarded me to Cust Care. :/ -
i hope they will send me the one i paid for ( i love M1530 ) or i will have to change to HP
-
Hopefully that doesn't happen. *gulp*
