Ok heres the catch up. i got i western digital with my system, performed flawessly! but i coulnt sleep with the noise... ask dell for replacement, dell sent a toshiba, wich was faulty, it would boot, woulnt even start spinning... made stuck noise... whatever, got another, same toshiba hard drive, but this one works, im using it now, im getting a different, and maybe less clicking noise, but still getting noise, is there anyway i can demand for a seagate hard drive? now i have a still noisy hd, with lesser performance... what do you guys recommend? (dont tell me to buy a hard drive) dell has to answer for this.

    Thank u!

Ask Dell then!!! Tell them you won't take anything other than a seagate, firm but polite!!

For me, I have WD and no problems or issues. Been working great.

In the past I've had some minor problems like yours with WD hard drives, and major problems with Toshiba ones. Nowadays I swear by Seagate and Samsung.

I known. but seriously performance with toshiba is horrible, i can't listen to my music, and open a web page, because the sound cracks... and with the seagete i guess i will have the best performance, and hopefully no noise, i think this noise issue with no matter what hard drive, has something to do with the fact that the computer case its made of aluminium, and where the hard drive its located. but anyway... i want my seagate... hopefully they will send a 7200 rpm xD ^_^
