Details about ordering a M1730

I just got off of the phone with a Dell representative, and sorry if this is known information as well...

But, the XPS M1730 is available now, today, only on September 25th starting at $2299.00, then it will come off of the the phase known as the "Pre-launch" sale, and will not be available again until "sometime in the first week of october".

Also, with this "Pre-launch" promotion, they estimate 2 days to build your system, and you receive free overnight shipping.

For orders, have them connect you to a mobile sales rep.

 

It's $2999

Also the system is not configurable. You get blue trim (no other color options), no RAID array, and only 2GB RAM. Vista is limited to a single version as well.

 

if you use the eval codes you can pick colors but thats on the different price range.

You're right that the system is not configurable, you will have to wait until official release, but the system is $2299.99, 2300, or at least that is what I was told, by a Dell rep, don't know if that is a reliable source
