I am facing a weird problem. Whenever I try to open the registry for editing or type msconfig in Run is gives me an error saying that the device is not ready.

This same problem also occurs when I try on My Computer and then Manage or try accessing the Device Manager.

I am facing this problem since I changed some registry entries which would change the default installation path for the programs to be installed from C:/Program Files to some other destination.

I also downloaded all the latest drivers from the Dell Site and used the Bios driver to change the Bios to A4.... however after this anyother driver I try to install is giving me the Device not ready error.
