Received my M1330 laptop last Friday, was happy with it in general until I spoke to a friend who also owns the same model. During conversation he asked "did you get that nice soft cloth with yours too?" and I didn't. Just got off the phone to Dell customer services and the guy on the other end had no idea wtf I was on about when I mentioned I didn't get a cloth to clean the screen with. I got the CD wallet the cloth was supposed to be in with an empty mesh pouch, which I originally thought was for pens or something, but then found out the cloth was meant to be there.
Are you supposed to get a black XPS cloth with your laptop? If so I'll ring Dell again tomorrow and have a rant.

I got the cloth and also a case. And a pocket book with the instruction book and CD holders in it. And an earphone to booth! Dunno why they sent me two remotes though, didn't order an extra one but no complaints.

Yeh its just a microfibre cleaning cloth with XPS all over it. Its quite nice actually.

Is it available for purchase from the Dell site as an accessory? I got my 1330 back in September, before they were giving the cloth. I wonder if they would send me one if I asked.

Dell got back to me a couple of days ago with the following message:

I do agree the clean cloth was sent out but that was sent as a goody. As if now we do not send it and this is confirmed by the internal department. So we would not be able to arrange it.

Which further illustrates how the person had no idea what (s)he was talking about, as from what I understand the cloth should have been in the pouch in the leather wallet and not sent in the box. Since I did receive that leather wallet I should have the cloth too, right?
Did anyone who ordered an M1330/any other XPS recently (during February) get a cloth with the wallet? -

I got mine too, its really good for cleaning. i learned my lesson from my wrist rests fading on my M1210, i clean my 1330 nightly.

I ordered a m1530 from the outlet Feb 16th and I got the cloth. Good luck trying to convince customer service. It took me an hour and a half just to get them to send me the LOTR game that was missing from my order, and it even was listed on my invoice. If you finally get someone that admits that you should have received it MAKE them right it down on your profile before they transfer you. I had a good experience with Dell's technical support, decent service with sales, and horrible service with customer service. The customer service people barely speak English and just read each response to you off of a programmed chart in front of them. BTW on Dell's website it says:" Dell accessory kit Complemenary kit includes XPS mouse pad, noise isolating ear buds, cable ties and more."
In the picture where it says this I can see the XPS cloth. -

Just go mine monday and it came w/ a cloth. I did not get LOTR. I emailed india, chatted w/ texas and spoke two people on the fone. Never could get the game. That promotion was over. They did not have cd's, The game was preinstalled so when my machine was refurb. it was wiped out. They refunded me $75 for not having the game. Not sure what the game costs but $75 is a better to me than the game.

I got a refurbished m1330 a week ago.
What's funny is, I was so excited when it arrived, I took out the laptop and fooled around with it, then looked in the box and found the sleeve.
I took the sleeve out and used it for a few days. It kind of botherred me that the sleeve was over sized... it was noticably larger then the laptop.
Well, after about 4 or 5 days, I looked in the box again, and low and behold, there was ANOTHER SLEEVE, the exact same as the 1st, but smaller.
This one fit my laptop PERFECTLY!
Apparently, they accidentally included a sleeve for both the m1330 and m1530 in my box!
Not sure what I'll do with the spare m1530 sleeve! -

i got one, but don't understand why they don't make it the size of the keyboard or the screen. I always put it there to carry but it would be nicer if it was the right size.

Did you check your CD wallet that came with your system? When I received my M1530 I was pissed off that I hadn't received any goodies like earbuds or cloth. And then I opened up the CD wallet and found the nice goodies!

The cloth is lovely though.
There's a million phone numbers I could ring to try and complain, but which one is correct? (For Dell Europe). Or is it better to Email them? -
Got my 1530 last Friday and no wallet or earbuds here too. Don't bother calling XPS support as they had no idea what I was talking about and kept telling me that I hadn't ordered a carry case.

sleeves are going for about $20 on ebay shipped.
I had to call the outlet customer service and they transferred me to conflict resolution center. everything else, email, chat, phone calls, prior to conflict resolution is just a bunch of hoops you have to jump thru.
I am currently in the process to see if i can get a case or money refunded like they did for the LOTR that was missing. I would give you the phone number for outlet customer service but it is at home..... -
