Does any one know what the size difference is between the led monitor and the ccfl monitor? i know the m1330 is slimmer but is it the same with the m1530? dell is sending me the led instead of the ccfl i have now so i want to know the differences. pics maybe side by side.

for the m1530..... the size is the same, because both the LED and CCFL have 2.0mpix webcam, and the webcam requires that thickness....

(for m1330, if you get LED, you get a 0.3mpix webcam instead of a 2.0mpix for the CCFL)

google this site, someone sat a led + CCFL side by side, LED is much brighter

Apparently the led is brighter and does not get dark even after a few years of usage.

well, i think my m1330's LED has gone darker... not really sure, might be me getting used to it after 8 months, but perhaps...

and my eyes aren't that used to the LED backing, sometimes get strained... :(

I seen the LED and compared it to my current CCFL, not only was the screen nice and crisp, it was bright, the colors popped out more than they did on my CCFL. I purchased a 1440x900 LG screen waiting to get the parts I need to convert mine from CCFL to LED.

I got a question hoping that maybe one of you may be able to answer. I was told that I can't use the CCFL power connector (not the cable) the inverter or whatever that part is actually called to power the LED. I contacted Dell multiple times asking about the part and their parts store is clueless as to what I'm talking about. Is there a specific part number ? Do any of you know what I'm talking about?

    Thanks.
