    Difference between 9400 (E1705) and XPS M1710

    Why is the Inspiron 9400 (E1705) so much cheaper than the XPS M1710. For the same base model it is about $600 more for the XPS. I was thinking that maybe the components in the XPS are of better quality. Like generic versus known name RAM, or quality optical drive versus a knockoff brand.

    Anyone know?

    No, just pretty lights, 7900 GTX 512MB option, different paint job and better customer service. That's about it!

    no i just realized that 1705 only has a VGA for a second monitor, look closly on the XPS and u will see something else :p
