Looking to buy a new laptop. If the RGB screen was still available on the XPS I would of bought my laptop a long time ago.
I'm curious if anyone has compared the old RGB screen on the XPS to new edge-to-edge FHD 1920x1080 screen.

    Thanks.

You have to wait more than ~2 hours to get a response, lol. The statements comparing the two screens, if I've been reading right, seem kind of mixed to me. Some people that have supposedly seen both say there is no difference at all, but then there are others that say the difference is as clear as day and night (the posts are definitely out there for evidence, but I'm just too lazy to look right now, sorry  ). Either way the WLED is definitely not bad from what I've heard and it's only bested by the RGBLED. Personally, the RGBLED is the best notebook screen I have ever laid my eyes on, and the brightness, color clarity, and color vibrancy (which can be too much at times) are nothing short of impressive. It took my eyes about a 3 weeks to get accustomed to the screen. I say, if you can get one, go for it as you won't regret it. If you can't, the WLED is still a great screen, from what I've heard.

I honestly didnt see a difference between the RGBLED in my m17x or the SXPS. But then again take what I say with a grain of salt as Im not a graphic artist.

I'm not interested in the whole color spectrum. when I send out pictures to print I work in the sRGB color space only. I just need my screen to reproduce the sRGB color gamut well.

LoL you went over my head with that. Im not a graphical artist so this makes no sense to me. I can say though that the screen is great quality and bright...very bright in fact.

I didn't really like the RGB color distortions that I saw with some of these screens esp off-angle. But I can say up front the RBG looks pretty nice.

However, I really like my WLED, as the whites are true and the colors are also very vibrant. I'd probably opt for WLED if I purchased this again lol.
