I've googled fairly extensively and likely know the answer, but I've got to ask:

Has anyone gotten Directv2PC to work on an L502X?

It appears that this application does not work with Optimus and there is no fix. I'm unhappy because this app is one of the important reasons for upgrading to FHD.

Quick followup: Directv2PC does work on an external monitor connected to the L502X via HDMI. This is not a bad setup, because if you key "Windows-P" and choose "Extended", you can use the laptop screen for whatever while watching HD TV on the monitor.

The only way I have been able to get Direct2PC to work is to force it to use the intel graphics when launching the app instead of using the nvidia card. Its a little sluggish but once you open a video its fine.

When I do that, I get a bright green screen instead of the video.
