Would like to disable hyperthreading on my Dell XPS 9550, because of the processor bug, until it's fixed:
Skylake, Kaby Lake chips have a crash bug with hyperthreading enabled
Any idea how to do it?

Unless you mod the BIOS - you can't.

Enter BIOS, on the left hand menu expand "performance" then click on "hyperthread control" and disable it.
You know the chance in this causing a BSOD is next to nothing unless running a CPU benchmark that triggers it?
This is why it took so long to come out.pressing, Eason and don_svetlio like this. -
Just don't do it. I predict a chance of 0.0001% the bug will ever happen to you, since it's exclusive to a very limited list of apps/games which use more than 4 CPU cores and will actually trigger the malfunction.
