My row of F keys at the top of my keyboard is set to operate video brightness, volume, etc which means I have to press Fn to use the F-number keys like F2, F5, etc. I choose to keep it this way because I use the volume a lot.
Can someone post instructions (or a link to some) on how to remap the F2/antennae toggle key and take away its functionality? I sometimes accidentally hit the key and turn off my wireless.
I'd like it to do nothing when pressed alone and still be F2 when I press Fn at the same time.
Also I should say that I don't want to install any software to do this. I think I've heard of other ways (registry hacks maybe) to do it so one of those non-software-install ways is what I'm looking for.
Thanks.

Hit the little picture of the gears on the softkey up top to open Windows Mobility Center. In the bottom block, change "Fn Key Behavior" from "Multimedia Key" to "Function Key".
That'll change all your F-keys to their normal functions, and only activate the orange functions when you're holding the Fn key. -
FL5, that's not quite what the OP is looking for as I read it. You describe the normal behavior, he doesn't want any combo with the F2 to disable wireless (and wants F2 on it's own to do nothing?), I don't know if this is an option though.

True Matt, that's not what I'm looking for. I know I can change which behavior the row uses by default and I want them to continue being multimedia controls by default. I just want to disable the wifi toggling that the F2 key does, and I still want Fn-F2 to work as F2, as it does now.
Disable or remap F2 / antennae toggle key
