"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."
Yup, it's the old display driver problem. I got the first one last week, and now I'm getting one about once an hour while working on photoshop.
I understand the display is supposed to correct itself after a few seconds, and it does, but it also crashes my photoshop in the process so I really need this fixed.

    Here are my specs:
    XPS L502X
    Intel i7 processor, 2.70 GHz
    8 GB RAM
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics card

Let me point out that I'd be surprised if it's a heating problem, seeing as this is a brand-new computer and I've got it on a cooling station 95% of the time. So can anyone help?

And on a side note, the computer tends to give me these little bursts of electricity when I touch it. Has anyone encountered something similar?
    Thanks!

Have you upgraded to the latest display driver found at NVIDIA.com?

As for the static, are you using a 2-prong or 3-prong AC adapter? You should be using a 3-prong one so that it'll be grounded. My fingerprint reader zaps me if I'm not using a 3-prong adapter, so my 2-prong adapter is for travel use only.
