It's been 2.5 years without a hitch. Excellent machine. I'm upgrading my internet service and home network. Looking at equipment options and wondering if I need to upgrade the NIC that came with the laptop, which is the Killer AC 1535. I'm looking at a Netgear C7800 modem/router combo. Or I might go with separate units.
But that raises two questions: is the current NIC capable of handling the faster speeds available, or will it be choking my connection?
Also, this laptop sits next to the router and is hardwired into it. Is there a separate network card for that?
    Thank you.
