    story:

I was offered a system replacement begiining of the month and was told to submit my specs. i did

    I asked for a 8800 and a extra battery

i got a 8700 and no extra battery.

the other specs were better but it irks me that i wasnt told they were going to change it to a 8700 and only thing i ever heard was i submitted the configuration

If the 8800 is within what the original agreement was, ie. no price limit, then I would ask them to honor the original agreement or escalate the issue. If it was within boundaries, the company should honor their word. The threat of legal action always seems to have a presence if it is not handled as Dell has had some very bad luck in their recent replacement cases.
