    My Vostro had Media Direct. And it blowed, that thing takes almost longer than windows to boot up and you got less features.

    Ya, media direct sucked. I always preferred to boot into Windows, and now with Windows 7 booting isn't a long process anymore anyway..

    It is on my m1530 and the only time I have accessed it is by accidentally hitting the media direct button instead of the power button. It is such a waste of disk space. Good riddance to it.

    That was what happened to my HP laptop, geezz it started the laptop and ran the freaking quickplay. Lucky to not have it in this XPS =D
