I was just wondering and this may have already been asked, but does Dell build laptops/desktops on weekends? I would think with so many orders they get they would have to, but I am not so sure.

I placed an order for an XPS laptop to be built during mid-week last week, and my thought process is that they will build as much as they can for the customers machine during the weekdays, but will set it aside until the next week comes around and take the weekend off?

    Anyone know?

    I'm weird like that, yeah.

On Saturday my laptop was "In Production", but Sunday night it was "Preparing for Delivery".

I'm sure they're given a few minutes off each day to stare at a crudely painted image of the factory boss and profess their humble thanks for the honor of work.
