    Does XPS M1530 come with cellular WAN built-in?

    I just got off the phone with Dell customer service and I have been told that to enable cellular wireless broadband on my laptop all I had to do was purchase a data plan with my provider of choice (AT&T) and pop in the providers SIM card into my M1530 and I would be up and running. This leads me to believe that the cellular wireless broadband mini-pci card is already built into my machine even though I didn't purchase a cellular broadband plan during my initial purchse. Is this correct or do I need to purchase a mini-pci card or an AT&T PC-Card?

    You have been misinformed. The WWAN card is an extra purchase at the time your laptop is manufactured. You can add this on later via MiniPCI card inside, or external USB/PCIE card if available.

    I figured he didn't know what he was talking about. I should have taken his first suggestion to be transferred over to XPS support. Anyone have a dell part number for that Mini-PCI card? Does the card differ based on provider?

    The card is mini PCI-e. It's the same size as the wireless card and turbo-memory card. The card is service specific 'cause it has to mate with specific SIMs.
