Hey guys, does the UJ-857G DVD burner in the M1330 support bitsetting? Where you can burn a DVD to appear like a DVD-ROM? I have searched on google but have found no answer.

I don't think it supports it. Nero doesn't give me that option although it does with other writers.

We're talking about the same thing, aren't we? The option were you change the type from e.g DVD-R -> DVD-ROM, which raises compatibility with certain stand alone DVD players.

Yeah that's right. It's only to change DVD+R to appear like a DVD-ROM for higher compatibility. Man that really sucks. And it appears like the drive won't burn dual layer DVDs either. =/
