Hey guys, does the UJ-857G DVD burner in the M1330 support bitsetting? Where you can burn a DVD to appear like a DVD-ROM? I have searched on google but have found no answer.

I don't think it supports it. Nero doesn't give me that option although it does with other writers.
We're talking about the same thing, aren't we? The option were you change the type from e.g DVD-R -> DVD-ROM, which raises compatibility with certain stand alone DVD players. -
Yeah that's right. It's only to change DVD+R to appear like a DVD-ROM for higher compatibility. Man that really sucks. And it appears like the drive won't burn dual layer DVDs either. =/

i think it can do dual layer disk and if the disks r for xbox backups bitsetting doesnt make a diff

Oh well these are for little videos and stuff that I make and would like a higher compatibility with DVD players.

oh, you can call and try and get it replaced with the lg drive

Can the LG one burn dual layer DVDs?

I have a Teac drive in my M1530 and it does Dual Layer.
Does the DVD drive UJ-857G in the M1330 support bitsetting?
