I have a Mat****a DVD-Drive in my XPS 1530. Does any one know if the drive is able to burn DobleLayer DVDs, and which one (+ or -)?

    Thanks!

    Hello evrybody,

    I have a M.A.T.S.H.I.T.A. DVD+-RW UJ-875S (that's what device manager says)

I am using Win XP SP3 and yesterday put an empty double layer DVD+R and Windows recognized it as 0 bytes written / 0 bytes free.

My question is - am I able to burn double layer DVD-s, if yes do you know what my problem is and how to resolve it?

    Thanks in advance

I have the same drive and DVD -R DL as well as DVD +R DL work.

Maybe an issue with the recording software.

    Are you using WinXP?

If it was a software issue, I should get at least 8.5GB free in Windows, which did not happen with me
