    Dell forum,
    Windows 7 Home Version

I have an XPS M1330 that contains a Hitachi HLDS GSA-S10N DVDRW 8X.

I can see the files on disk but I can't copy files from the DVD to
memory unless I run in safe mode. Seems like the driver on the
    hard drive is corrupted.

I want to download a new driver but when I go on the Dell site
and enter my service tag number they want to download a driver
manager and a system analyzer. I only want to download and install
    a new driver.

    Any suggestions?

    Jerry

Not quite sure what that means.

A DVD drive usually does not require special drivers, only default Microsoft drivers. If you think there's a problem with drivers, go to Device Manager and delete drivers and remove the device. Upon reboot the device should be recognized and drivers located.
