    Hi,

I was just wondering what are the best drivers for this card? I had some driver I had downloaded from laptopvideo2go, but video and everything was smooth with index score of 4.1. I did MS update and downloaded the drivers suggested by that and now the video is choppy, score went down to 3.3.

Any ideas which ones are good?

    Thanks,
    SW

I think the rule of thumb is to never use MS update for driver updates. Use the driver updates supplied by Dell or a trusted 3rd party (such as Laptopvideo2go). I would use the latest Dell drivers, but I'm not sure if they are the "highest performance" drivers available.

Go for the 175.97. It can be found on the dell download and drivers page for the m1330. I have it installed on my m1530 (8600gt), the driver works for both 8400 and 8600 series if I'm not mistaken. It's very stable, lesser heat, and my 3dmark06 went up ~300 points.

    Good luck.

    My Experience...

I know there are better measures out there but Windows index is simple. When I was using the first drives that came from dell it scored 4.3 and with forceware it creped up to 4.7 over the year. I just installed the latest Dell one and the score dropped to 3.3!!!

The machine could no longer run HD content on a 1080i display (0.2 frames /s). I went to forceware 177.xx and now back on an index of 4.7.

My I suggest that the new drives are also a "fix" like the BIOS A12.

I notice on this forum people state their order and ship date, I think it is time for the number of parts replaced...

0 complete replacements, 4th motherboard/GPU, 2nd Processor, 2 Power Supply, 2nd Battery, 2nd keyboard, 2nd Ram and when I get round to it 2nd screen due to "alive" pixels.
