    Estimated Delivery Date !?

    Just a quick and curious question....

    Should i expect my laptop to be delivered on the day it says on my E.D.D? Or should i not get my hopes up and prepare for it to be delayed?

    I want to know the experiences some of you may have had :)

    So please....post your responses! :)

    From what Ive read around here and on Dells own forums, some people have gotten delayed months (like september-Dec/Jan). Im not sure if thats the case now that its nearly July I hope theyve gotten their stuff together. I ordered my XPS 16 today and the EDD is the 17, so Im hoping i see it by then

    Mine's expected to arrive tomorrow, which was the original edd.

    It was going to arrive today, but there were delays within the UPS network

    Previous delays were associated with the RGB LED display but you shouldn't expect those now.
    EDD is usually pretty accurate.

    Let's hope so :p

    Mine is supposed to arrive 7/2/2010 (this Friday) and I'm really hoping it does!

    Also, if I take a look at the order process, and it still says "In Production", can I still expect it to arrive at my door? Or do I have to wait till they change the order status to get my hopes up?

    my original EDD was 7/02, they updated it to 6/30 and Fed Ex shows it on the truck for today!! I really think it depends on the system and the spec though.

    Question for you guys. On the invoice/receipt they sent you via e-mail (or in the box, or both) was your name on the receipt? Seems like a trivial question but I really need to know if your name was included on that receipt/invoice. No one wants to answer that question lol. (Oh, and that just goes for people who ordered online)

    Mine was also about a week early... I ordered it beginning of April and it was estimated for the 28th, and came on the 20th.

    Ordered July 12, EDD: August 2. Shipped July 19. Unless it takes 2 weeks to ship it, my laptop should be here well before schedule.
