    Hi all,

I am thinking of buying a dell studio xps 13 laptop with this wireless card. Will I be able to connect to 802.11b/g networks? I have a us robotics 9108 router and I am using linux.

Wireless N cards always have b/g capabilities, as the latter are the two most popular 802.11 standards in use. In short, the XPS 13 would work.

Yes it works. I have a european XPS 13 with dell n card and it works on my G wireless routers with no problems and good transfer speed.

N-cards are backward compatible with b/g drafts.

Well I just got my Dell Studio XPS 13 with the 1515 wireless card and something wrong with it. It can't see any routers even if other laptops in my office (Sony Vaio, Thinkpad x60s, Asus, etc) all work great (with excellent signal strength).
When I place the SXPS13 near to the router then the signal strength is recognizable but still "poor". I tried it with different routers and reinstalled a clean operating system but the new Dell can't connect to the routers.

I'm a bit upset because I was waiting for 3 weeks to get this laptop (Europe) and now I have to send it back...
