Purchased an L502X, scheduled to arrive today. I'm considering the purchase of a laptop cooler and was curious about a few things with this laptop.
    1) How many fans does this have? I'm figuring one on the CPU and one on the video card. Correct?
    2) Where are the exhaust vents located?
    3) Does the cooler pull air away from the laptop or blow air on it? Not sure yet but I was considering the Zalman NC3000S.

    Thank you.

One fan pulls air across the heat pipes connected to the CPU and GPU and exhausts on the left side, with intake on the bottom.

Thanks for the info. Being that the laptop is an intake fan, the cooler would need to blow on to the laptop case to assist in the cooling process.
    Makes sense. Thanks, again.

Amazon.com: Thermaltake Massive23 LX Laptop Notebook Cooler Oversized 230mm Blue LED Fan USB CLN0015: Electronics

I have this Thermaltake cooler, and really like it. It has one massive fan that blows onto the middle of the bottom of the computer, right where the air intakes are.
The one fan in the computer draws air in from the bottom and exhausts it out the left side.
I also removed the large bottom panel from the computer so the air can blow over and into the underside of the components. Obviously, when I travel I put the bottom panel back on.
The power cable for the cooler is just long enough to plug into the right-side esata/USB2 port on the right side, keeping it out of the way and not taking up a USB3 port.
I put some 2" wide clear tape over the front and back portions of the cooler mesh to concentrate the air onto the bottom of the computer.
This cooler is also nice when I want to bring the computer into bed to watch a movie, as it has two handle cutouts on the sides to help carry it, with the computer still on the cooler. I also depress the blanket a little to make sure there is open airflow under the cooler.

Probably a few unpleasant mental images for you to dwell on, but that's the price of greatness!

Thanks for the info. After I get those disturbing images out of my head, I'll take a look at that cooler. ;)
