    Hi all,
received my 1530 a couple of weeks ago and all is well, touch wood.
With all this talk of overheating Nvidia cards, I thought it prudent to get a quote to extend the warranty.
Just got off the phone after a bit of haggling and I've been offered:

    1+3 years=4 total £125
    1+2 years=3 total £95

Do you think this is a good price?
I'm sure I read a couple of posts on here saying people have paid £90 for 1+3 years.
Anyway, still a good saving right?

what was the price of the original laptop:
warranty divivded by original price shouldn't exceed 30% for warranty to be worth it

Yeah depends on the spec of your laptop and original price.

The people who got it for £90 for 1 + 3 years may have had the 13" or something or maybe the X3100 video card so they are cheaper to repair the screen or vid card.

    Well I paid £633 for:
    8300 CPU
    1440x900 LG screen
    320GB HDD
    Nvidia 8600GT
    Bluetooth
    Intel wireless N card.
    Standard Teac Slot DVD

So roughly 15-20% of original puchase price depending on the 3 or 4 year warranty.
That's even taking into account the 15% discount voucher I had off the XPS.
