My XPS M1530 is finally done for good and my replacement laptop a Lenovo Thinkpad Twist does not have an optical drive. I rarely use an optical drive anymore but it would be nice to keep the drive from the M1530 since it is a Blu-Ray Burner. I have removed it and have the model number but have not had luck searching for an enclosure for it. I believe it is 12.7mm and it is a slot load. Model is UJ-225 and DP/N ORX602. I think this is a PATA connector? Thanks!

You can find a ton of these things on eBay, Amazon, etc. Just look for "optical drive enclosure" or something. Not sure how well it'll work since your drive is slot-load; you might consider just buying a complete external optical drive as it isn't going to be too much more expensive than just the enclosure.

Thanks, I don't have a huge need for the optical drive which is why I wasn't going to buy one but if I could find an enclosure for 20 or 30 bucks I would use it since a Blu-Ray burner costs significantly more than that. I do see a ton on eBay and Amazon but they appear to use SATA connectors rather than PATA or they simply don't give enough information to know if it's compatible.
