    Hi,

I'm a possessor of a Dell XPS 13, who for the moment look like more a brick than a computer, because i lost the power adapter...

During my reserach to fin a new one, i found a interressant concept, the dell power companion. But there is (for me) a very bad thing about it, you need having both the ac adapter and the companion every time...

Why Dell don't do a external battery with which you can also charge the computer ? It would be infinitely more convenient !

So, there is my question, do you know an other external battery compatible with the dell, with which you can also charge it ?

    Thanks for your help.

Uhhhh.. I don't know if I quite understand your question. But the Dell Power Companion IS an external power source.

When it is plugged into the XPS 13, it behaves just like an AC adapter. It will charge the laptop's internal battery. If you are using the laptop, it will provide power for the laptop. The only difference between the Dell Power Companion and a real AC adapter is that the Dell Power Companion eventually runs out of power, because it uses batteries to provide the power.

You will also need a Dell AC adapter to charge the Dell Power Companion. It is not a replacement for an AC adapter. It is just an external battery you can use to power or charge your XPS 13, when you are not near a wall power outlet
