    Hi,
I am making my own cooling pad for this, the steel mesh i am using is pretty light so i can carry it around with me so therefor is a bit flimsy.
I am putting 1" wide 3mm thick Aluminium strips under for each row of pads on the laptop.

Could someone please tell me the distance bettween the pads(left to right)?
    Cheers,
    Nick

I don't understand... if you have the laptop yourself, can't you measure it yourself? And if you don't have one, why are you making the pad?

    Nonetheless:

    Width: 16.0" (406 mm)
    Height: 2.00" (50.7 mm)
    Depth: 11.9" (302.6 mm)

I'd estimate that puts about fifteen inches horizontally between the pads and maybe about ten inches vertically.
