Thanks for reading:
When using my machine during the day, I "lose" my ability to use the fingerprint user to log back into my machine (Dell xps 9300)
It will only work (one time) after a restart.
Ive updated the driver but no fix.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem since months on my 9570, not sure if it's a bug in Windows 10 since an update or 20h2.

If you have a wonky fingerprint reader, does that risk locking you out of the laptop permanently?

Thanks for the link. I've been having this issue for quite some time now. Let's see if the update fixes the issue.

I just wanted to confirm that the update has resolved my fingerprint login issues. So far I've been able to login using my fingerprint 100% of the time. Before the update I had a 20-30% success rate after sleep.
