    Hello,

I am having some problems getting everything to work fine on my M1710 under XP Pro. I ordered the laptop with Vista on it but hated it so I decided to format my hard drive with a copy of XP Pro that I had laying around. I deleted all partitions, because I didn't want the recovery stuff, and installed XP without many problems....until now. I am trying to reinstall Media Direct 3. I used partition magic to make a 4GB unformatted section then tried to install from the Media Direct DVD I received. Now I keep getting an error when trying to install it. Is there any way that I can get this installed without having to reformat again? Thanks in advance.

I don't think so.Installing this stuff is so much of a pain. And I think that Vista based media direct is different from XP-based media direct.
