I am using the Nvidia System tools. I was able to make a profile for the 525M which lowers the GPU clocks to 215/330 when windows boots and when games exit. I set the clocks to 699/966 when games launch. It definitely helps keep the lappy cooler and I am sure we're saving some battery energy as well.

You may be able to downclock it further than the card automatically does.

If you OC it will always stay at OC clock, if you don't OC it will auto adjust to lowest clock when not doing intensive work. You can't UC to lower clock than the default clock(for me at least)

Nvidia Inspector allowed me to unlock even lower power states. The lowest now is 50Mhz. Temps are now staying in the 40s instead of the 50s

guys be carefull with nvidia inspector. I allows you to really raise the clocks VERY high. Enough to fry things.

I'm using the same thing to OC. I unlocked the min and lowered to 50/324 and the temp barely dropped 1 degree(compared to 790/1060). But my temp is low to begin with so maybe that's why

It will crash the driver and restart the GPU if you go beyond the limit. Done this quiet a lot of times and no harm was done.
