Anyone check out the latest Game Informer. They review about 6 notebooks and give the 1730 the editor's choice award. Their write-up says " Its dual GeForce 8800M GTX video cards ......."

And its 3D mark Score was 12034 and Pc Mark Score is 6387

Think this was just an error or an early printing of things to come?

Probably not a scam. The Sager NP9262 puts out 10000 with one card, maybe the Dell does 12000 with SLI.

i wonder when the UK will be able to get dual 8800M GTX graphics cards in the M1730.

i personally don't think its worth shelling out that much cash unless it has the best components available.

But the sager uses regular desktop Core 2's and most get the sager with a Quad core. Quads add about 2K to your score in 3dmark 06. The Dell uses mobile Core 2's. Its probably right. With some O/Cing and tweaking, we could see 14K in an SLI 17" notebook. Just don't expect this config to be cheap. Probably 4-5K if we are talking about Dell.
